In addition to comprehensive real-time radar simulations based on our Radar Toolkit®, Camber has extensive experience delivering training systems for a variety of other sensors. We are the proven leader in building / upgrading all types of sensor training systems, and we also specialize in the high-fidelity, correlated databases required to support them.

Electro-Optical (Wide & Narrow field of view)

Camber’s Electro-Optical/Infrared (EO/IR) simulation provides up to three channels of imaging sensor video emanating from a single collimated turret to support stand-off surveillance training scenarios. These channels of video can be displayed simultaneously and support such control functionality as continuous and discrete field-of-views (supporting simultaneous wide and narrow FOV), EO and IR filtering, white-hot/black-hot polarity, and automatic video tracking. In addition to the EO/IR simulation, Camber generates high-resolution material-classified visual and IR databases, consisting of both geo-specific satellite imagery and three-dimensional polygonal models to support high-fidelity training missions.

Infrared (IR/FLIR)

In addition to Camber’s packaged EO/IR simulation which simultaneously provides multiple Electro-Optical and Infrared channels of video to support imaging sensor system training, Camber provides a single channel Infrared (IR) simulation that supports FLIR and IRDS sensor system training. With our IR simulation, Camber provides realistic material-classified databases and high-fidelity targets on which hot-spots are modeled to support realistic tracking, classification and identification.

Electronic Support Measures (ESM) & Electronic Warfare (EW)

Camber’s Electronic Warfare (EW) simulations include Electronic Support Measure (ESM) and Radar Warning Receiver (RWR) sensor simulations that support training in high-density EW mission scenarios. Our EW simulations support EW functionalities as detecting active emitters, classifying them based on their signal parameters (i.e. frequency, pulse-width, PRF, and scan rate) and matching them against an “on-board”, operator-editable emitter library.

Magnetic Anomaly Detection (MAD) systems

Our MAD simulation supports the detection of surface and subsurface targets by a magnetometer onboard an a fixed or rotary-wing MPA platform through the measurement of anomalies in the Earth’s magnetic field due to magnetic fields emanating from submarines and other targets. Our simulation allows the instructor to model target variable magnetic fields, and inject both alpha (generated by the Earth’s magnetic field) noise and gamma (generated by the ownship aircraft) noise. In addition, various operator controls such as bandpass filtering and variable Submarine Anomaly Detection (SAD) detection threshold are supported.  Outputs of the Camber’s MAD simulation are displayed as red pin/black pen deflections shown on a strip recorder modeled on those used in MPA aircraft. In addition, the output deflections may be annotated during run-time operation, saved, and made available for post-mission debrief.
